BDM is Motorola´s feature, this is next generation of Siemens mcu.

yep, this is clear :D I meaned that there are BDM ports on the ECU , bu t they can't be used (only once)

I heard about csw Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH is the first one, who´s able to flash EDC17 with their one files..
AFAIK they made their one hard- and software for flashing

www.cswi.de

VAG dealer should also by able to flash EDC17 but not with costom files :wink:

yes, normally the flashing will be via CAN bus . Its a metter of time (1 year maybe) and we all be able to make this new ECU family

They say on their website that they are the only company in Europe that can do the EDC17.
This would be really a shame if they would lie about that for marketing reasons...

The price quote for an Audi a5 3.0 Tdi is also awesome...

Do they have a dyno BTW ?

They seem to be really good in marketing issues..

CSW is the place to be for EDC17, they were already the first to have a solution for the EDC16 also.

Hi.
Nice Photo. Can you say how to open a MED17 ? The region at the right side(the gray zone) is very strong glued against the top. How can i get this off without destroying the ECU PCB ?
